Program Student Learning Outcomes(PSLOs)
Student successfully completing the AA in Pre-teacher Preparation will be able to:
- Demonstrate basic knowledge and concepts related to elementary education;
- Task analyze FSM and State curriculum standards, develop lesson plans, deliver lessons using a variety of strategies, develop instructional materials, manage student behavior, and assess student learning in an elementary classroom; and
- Demonstrate professionalism.
PSLO Assessment Report Summary
- PSLO #1: Students were given a quiz to determine knowledge of concept.(Target=60%) or higher.
- PSLO #2: Students were shown a video and assessed teaching performance using a rubric (Target=70%) or higher
- PSLO #3: Students were given a quiz on developing a composite exam on content in the areas of language art, science and social studies and established data (Baseline data)
What we looked at:
- ED292 focused on CSLOs 1-4
- CSLO 1. Demonstrate understanding of how curriculum standards and benchmarks are used at elementary level.
- CSLO 2. Prepare appropriate lesson plans based on FSM or State minimum curriculum
- CSLO 3. Demonstrate understanding of how to use assessment instruments to determine student learning
- CSLO 4. Conduct and report on school visitations
What we found:

- There was a decrease in the enrollment of spring 21.
- Recruit more students into the program
- Sharing of updated data from EPC will also play important role in terms of course scheduling, better planning and other purposes.
What we are planning to work on:
Based on the findings provided; we are planning to;
- Increase enrollment through student orientation and others
- Maintain and continue the determination and dedication to the students
Recommendations for students:
- Maintain regular attendance of classes and promptness
- Doing and submitting assigned tasks and activities on time
- Communicate more with instructors and advisers to address problems and concerns for improved learning.
- Take advantages of the Tutorial sessions provided by SS
